June 2, 2007

I went to the Sunnyvale Arts and Wine Festival to find some African Violets. It was fairly large, about 5 blocks long. But, no African Violets. Ate lunch at a nice middle eastern restaurant where a woman was continuously baking bread in a open oven like a pizza oven. I had the falafel plate. The Hummus was thin, but the salad and eggplant were very good. The falafels were also tasty.

I bought some spray to kill the water shoots that are growing like wildfire on the sawed off Oleander trunks along the side walk. The bottle of spray cost $26 and only covered 6 of the 18 bushes. I will go back to manually cutting back the shoots.
